“From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

- Ephesians 4:16

At Cornerstone, we believe that volunteers are a vital part of our school community! We know that there is strength in unity and that it takes all of us—students, families, teachers, volunteers, donors—using our unique gifts and resources to accomplish Cornerstone’s mission.

We love seeing our volunteers match their time, talent, and treasure to the needs of our students, teachers, and staff.  If you are interested in volunteering at Cornerstone, please review our current opportunities and complete the interest form below to get started.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • At-Home Library Project: This opportunity allows volunteers to purchase a specific set of books from a Cornerstone-curated list to help students build their own “at-home library”. Volunteers would also be able to assist with distribution to students.

  • Breakfast and Lunch Support: These opportunities can include providing breakfast foods for our students on a monthly basis, assisting with serving school lunches to students weekly (Tuesday-Thursday), providing snacks to bless seniors and staff monthly, and sponsoring a meal for staff on an in-service day.

  • College/Career Connections: The opportunity to share your college and career experiences with High School students, and potentially mentor an individual student or provide site visits or internships at your employer.

  • Fall Backpack Drive: Small groups or churches can “adopt” a K-8 classroom and provide backpacks and all required Cornerstone supplies for a whole class. (We’re covered for the 23-24 school year!)

  • Partner Program: Our Partner Program allows 2nd-8th Grade students to build meaningful relationships with their Partner during 4 events throughout the school year. Partners are able to encourage, pray for, and walk closely with their student. Partner Days for the 2023-2024 year are October 13, December 8, March 8 and May 3, from 12:30pm-2pm.

  • Prayer Team: As a member of the prayer team, you will receive regular prayer updates for our school, as well as urgent prayer requests as needed via email. Prayer is a vital part of our ministry to our students & parents, and we have full confidence that He hears us as we bring our requests before Him (1 John 5:14).

  • Staff Volunteer: This position is for anyone interested in committing to volunteer at Cornerstone on a consistent, weekly basis throughout the year— one day per week, 2+ hours. This can include academic tutoring and serving in our Lions’ Den after school program.

  • Other: Share other skills or interests that might benefit Cornerstone!
