25 Years of Cornerstone
1996
Founders begin praying in the basement of the Capitol and at Washington Community Fellowship about opening a Christian private school in D.C.
1998
Cornerstone Community School launches Grades 1-3 at Washington Community Fellowship with 23 students.
2005
A second campus - Cornerstone Beulah Christian Academy - is launched at Beulah Baptist Church to accommodate a growing student body of 95 students in Pre-K through 5th Grade.
2009
Two campuses combine to form Cornerstone Schools of D.C. in our current Fort Dupont location at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
2010
Cornerstone launches a high school.
2013
Cornerstone’s first senior class graduates.
2016
College Scholarship Program launched.
2021
Accreditation granted from Christian Schools International and Cognia.
2023
Cornerstone begins it’s 25th anniversary year with 183 students, 85 alumni, 13 college scholarship recipients, and expanded hot lunch, tutoring, and counseling programs.
