Tuition Assistance Programs
Cornerstone is committed to providing an affordable and accessible education for all students regardless of financial background. We provide tuition assistance through the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) and Cornerstone Scholarships and Tuition Assistance.
Cornerstone Tuition Assistance and Scholarships
Cornerstone offers a significant amount of tuition assistance to families, as part of our commitment to providing an excellent and affordable education to all families, regardless of income. The average Cornerstone student pays $2,000-$4,000/year, thanks to the generosity of financial supporters. We encourage all families who do not qualify for The Opportunity Scholarship (see below) to apply for Cornerstone Tuition Assistance Grants, as detailed below. Aid is disbursed first-come, first-served so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Cornerstone Tuition Assistance
Deadline: As soon as possible (before family interviews for new families)
Based on household income and expenses
Required Documents:
W-2s and 2023 or 2024 1040 form from all parents/guardians for student
Can cover anywhere from 10% to 90% of tuition
On average, students receiving this pay a total of $2,000-$4,000/year
Who should apply?
Maryland and Virginia residents
DC Residents who are ineligible for Opportunity Scholarship or missed the deadline
Cornerstone Scholarships
Any new family applying for tuition assistance will be reviewed for one of Cornerstone’s two scholarships. This scholarship will be awarded based on financial need and the student’s academic, spiritual and personal fit at Cornerstone and reviewed annually. An additional student interview may be required.
If you are a new family applying for tuition assistance, you will automatically be considered for one of the scholarships listed below.
The Cornerstone Next Level Scholarship would provide a 95% scholarship with the family paying $600 per year or $50 per month.
The Cornerstone Lions Scholarship would provide a 90% scholarship with the Family paying $1,200 per year or $100 per month.
Families will be informed of the scholarship at the family interview or at time of acceptance
Please note: There is a $40 non-refundable application fee.
DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP)
The Opportunity Scholarship covers 100% of student tuition, if awarded. All DC residents applying to Cornerstone must apply for the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP). To learn more about OSP and Serving Our Children, please visit the website here.

Deadline: February 28, 2025
Covers 100% of Student’s Tuition
$150 uniform card per student
Does not cover aftercare, lunch, sports, or additional programming
Apply through Serving our Children
Please note: The OSP scholarship does not guarantee admission to Cornerstone; each student and family must go through the entire admissions process and be accepted into Cornerstone.
