Working At Cornerstone
At Cornerstone, combine your passion for education, your love for Christ, and care for your neighbor. Cornerstone educators are committed to providing a nurturing, academically robust, and Christ-centered education for every student.
Teachers at Cornerstone are lifelong learners, highly relational and consistently collaborative. In our small classes, teachers build relationships and educate each student as a whole person, which includes training them in habits, virtue, and academic success.
The Cornerstone community is a place for you to grow as a teacher, to educate joyfully and holistically, and to work alongside like-minded educators and supportive administrators. We are committed to integrating faith and life in every aspect of our education and school community.
“I sincerely enjoy working at Cornerstone because I have the opportunity to facilitate learning with some of the most delightful children in Southeast DC. Students and staff connect Christ, culture, and community through core values and serious prayer! I love it.”
- Nicole Lawrence, 5th/6th Grade ELA, 2 years at Cornerstone & 15 years in education
What keeps me at Cornerstone is the fact that I also get to be a whole person here. My bosses care about my well-being. They want me to thrive as an educator, but they know that I can only do that when I am thriving in other aspects of my life as well. My boss helps me set healthy boundaries between life and work instead of encouraging me to compromise them regularly. - Jodi Ash, 3 years at Cornerstone, 15 years in education
